Photos that stop you in your tracks

I hate to use the word 'stunning', but some photographs really are!

Any other nominations (without the help of Photoshop)?

Cheers
John

Its a bit heavy but this photo - "Little Girl" by Michael Yon, really haunts me. She was killed by a suicide bomber in Afghanistan, who decided not to worry about civilian casualties when attacking US forces. Even the way he is cradling her is just so touching.

Michael Moore used the photo, without permission, as an anti-war image. Yon is sueing, and I wish him luck.

Or how about a video that will stop you in your tracks? Or it would stop my heart!

Needs volume. Lots.

This car is the only American car I've seen that makes me think "How much? I want one. Now."

Even if I could only afford to run it for 5 minutes a month. Stay with the video til about 3 minutes 15 seconds.

But if I'm going to stop my heart... this is THE most incredible sound. Please turn up to 11.

Nick Mason should put that sound on his next CD/book!

Well, I could do this all year without thinking.....

For starters, my friend, the late, great, Philip Jones Griffiths:

This taken at a wedding at the De Bortoli winery in Australia. I'm not sure the guests will remember the ceremony much compared to this view...

Sorry.

What is the best way to get photos onto this? That was a link from photobox.co.uk and worked on my machine at work. Anyway here is a low-res of the arresting image as an attachment.
