Logitech universal remote control charger

Due to heavy use over the past two or three years my charger is unreliable now due to dodgy contact between the remote and the base. I think something like a conductive BluTac might do the trick. Does such a thing exist?

No but the bases are notorious for being a pain, and to be fair to logitech its worth giving them a call as they are very generous in this department.

The other thing to try is a little fine sandpaper on the contacts on the remote, they tend to get greese on them from ones fingers. And the device has to be put in the cradle 'just so' so that the screen saver appears.

I find it best to re-charge when the battery symbol has 1 green pattern left. Done like that I never have a problem.

Sometimes I have let the battery run all the way down. Each time I did that I had trouble getting the charger to connect properly. The only way I could get the charging screen saver to stay there was to remove the battery from inside the remote control and then reintroduce it.

I've cleaned the contacts many times. WD40 seems to get things going for a while but then it deteriorates again. What's worrying now is that it sometimes looks like everything is ok, but when I check the next morning it hasn't charged.

I'll contact Logitech.
