Why don't you wait for the much touted, upcoming, Freeplay / Apple iPod collaberation ?
Will get round all those replacement battery concerns and allow you to focus on the real issues, whatever they are.
Personnly I think the the 6gb mini will become a much in demand unit in the future, the nano is just too damn thin for everyday use.

Me!!!! I've got a fantastic Creative Zen and after using an iPod for several weeks as well the Creative pisses all over it on every front except perhaps Owner Ego.
The sound is infinitely better, the speed of track access is better, it looks better and feels more solid, the battery lasts about 10 times as long. Oh...and a 20Gb one is £140.
Jonathan
PS Get a F***ing move on Nuno. We all want photographic evidence of you holding your player as confirmation of your choice. You've written 40 posts now on this subject matter!!!!!!

With a software limited maximum of 100 songs at 120Kbps compression the iPod/Motorola ROKR phone looks like a waste of time:

Noooooo! Not another MP3 device for Nuno to have to think about! Ignore this info Nuno. Just concentrate on the iPods. Any ideas which one yet? Or you still not sure?

I want the 20 GB iPOD! I can store a lot of music on it and the Nano has screen problems,I think!
Posted on: 29 September 2005 by garyi
Nuno stop fucking wanting and get and buy, if you want the iPod mini, you need to purchase it right now, because there are plenty of people who will clear the stocks way before you have made up your mind (yet again).
With the issues of the nano, I can bet you any money even more people will be looking for an ipod mini.
Get on with it, stop being a girly poof.

Nuno
Don't rush into this. I'd consider all my options if I were you. Don't be pressured by the likes of garyi.

I thought you wanted the 20 GB Colour? Why do you keep changing your mind? Are you sure really want one or are you just playing about with the idea of having one? It's not as if it's a new Hifi system your thinking about. It's just a simple MP3 player for music on the go. Now go and bloody buy one!
Posted on: 29 September 2005 by Nuno Baptista
I´m waiting for the new iPOD colour, but is not available yet!I´ve got to wait a few more days, until is available here!

I know what you mean, there were only 860 mini iPods on ebay this morning, I suppose out of that lot, one ot two, might have have met your needs.
If it's just music on the go you're after the choice of earphones is much more critical than the choice of iPod.
For mobile music I've got a Philips 512Mb Key Player, superb sound, it's the size of a tampax, good battery life, comes with great earphones, and it's only fifty odd quid from Comet.
Or there's the iPod Shuffle, 1GB and the size of a wrigglies packet, of course you'd have to throw the earphones away and consider options, but then you'd have to do that whatever iPod you bought.

well done, your singlemindedness is a credit to you, your going to love it. Don't forget to throw the earphones away.
All you have to do now is get it to sync with your PC.....

Nuno - enjoy your iPod.
Next steps are to decide which format to store your music in - AAC or MP3. I'd go for AAC.
Then you need to decide which headphones - you'll only hear the iPod at its best with some goods quality ones. The supplied ones are just to get you started.

In itunes on the computer the ipod is in the left hand pane, click on the eject button next to it, now you can unplug it.
