Congrats Nuno! My GF bought the same model in Pink. It looks and feels a lot more sturdy than the Nano's so you made a good choice. If you're importing using AAC, you'd best stick to the default setting of 128kbps as you'll fill it up in no time unless you just create playlists in iTunes as you go along. I've got the 'old' 20GB mono model and it's a great piece of kit.

Well,bad luck! When I was installing the software,a error happened. DLL files missed , and now the shop doesn´t have another mini iPOD. This was the last. I can download the software from Internet,no?

Hint....try the Apple website for the download. I assume you have a broadband connection?

There is only one current version of iTunes it's not differnt for every iPod...

You'll also need to get the iPOD updater tool too from the web to update the opsys of the player as and when it is improved.

The shop gave me a software from iPod Shuffle! They say the software is the same for every iPOD and just when you connect the iPOd to the computer the software recognize the iPOD!I don´t know if they are right!

No,they are wrong. The software is from Shuffle,so I will have to wait a few more days and buy the 20 GB color.I can´t find anymore another mini iPOD!

And I´ve got some problems instaling the iPOD . The Bios of my computer recognize the iPOD as a new HD(removable) so I´ve got to change some values on Bios!

There's nothing wrong with the iPod itself Nuno. No need to change the model. As has already been suggested, download the latest iTunes and the iPod updater software to go with it. You should be ok when this is done.

I couldn´t install the software because the drivers were in Portuguese(Brasilian) and if I install English drives all are correct!So tomorrow I must come back to the shop and explain this !

BTW,the shop gave me a 6 gb version,but the software was not in the package.I explain this to the salesman and then he gave me a Shuffle software.

It sounds like you got a demo model from the shop, no doubt at a reduced price. This is great.

The software however is all the same. Its itunes.

Look towards the bottom of the page for the various languages for iTunes.

Taking the ipod back will be totally pointless there is nothing wrong with it, all you need is on these two links.

Well I don't know if you have to install anything for an ipod on PC, if its just itunes then no there is no different software it is all the same.

OK,now I just need to learn to work with iTunes!Organize playlists,delete files etc. I´ve got the 6 GB mini iPod!
