Elgar's Cello Concerto, LSO, John Barbirolli would be a good place to start. Available on EMI with a variety of couplings.
She made the Elgar concerto her own. Fabulous.

As far as vinyl is concerned, snap up whatever you can. Most common will be a late EMI pressing of the Elgar Cello Concerto. It is a wonderful performance and THE essential Du Pre recording.
From there you should look at the Haydn Cello Concerto, Dvorak etc.. but one thing you will find is that the original LPs are very sought after and consequently expensive.
However bargains can be found... a few years back I picked up a mint EMI Du Pre box set for £3.00 that would have set me back nearly £80 from a vinyl dealer.

Testament still have the Du Pre/Barbirolli Elgar Concerto available on vinyl with the original EMI catalogue number ASD 655, although personally I'd go for the EMI CD with catalogue number 5 62886.
Note also that Testament recently issued a live recording of the Elgar with Du Pre, Barbirolli and the BBC SO (SBT 1388, CD only).

Chris,
Yes, you must introduce yourself to her music. As a young violinist, she was one of my music goddesses. (read that to mean that many found her sensuous, and I was a teenager, after all) An excellent summary of her short life's work is the box set Les introuvables de Jacqueline du Pré. Of course, the Elgar with Sir John Barbirolli is included. Recording quality is spotty, but the passion is unquestionably communicated. I particularly like the recordings of the first and second Bach suites for unaccompanied cello, though they are mic'd so close that you hear the rosin scratching off the bow hairs! You may find working your way through all six discs a bit of a slog, but it certainly beats piecing together a discography on your own.

EMI currently have a bargain box (9 discs for under £30) of her chamber music recordings with Barenboim of Beethoven. The Cello sonatas are rather fine (though the Edinburgh festival audience is rather noisy). The other items include some of the trios (with Zukerman) and the violin sonatas. However, I'm not sure I'd recommend the whole set (as there are better recordings of both the trios and the violin sonatas), but I enjoy the cello sonatas.
