It appears that the great Christopher Hitchens is succumbing to the "intelligently designed" disease of cancer of the oesophagus. In, of course, his own inimitable way.

I admire Hitchens so much and he is one of the pillars of intellectual rationality.

I know many on this site may dislike the Hitch - or rather dislike what he has said/written. If that is so, it is where we differ and what the man wrote in this article covers probably every response a religious believer could say if Hitchens dies. It would be a real tragedy to the 'movement' if he went, so I really hope he recovers fully soon.
