Has anybody else here posted a note about "Square" the new release by Buck 65? Hiphopinfinity.com has a review and link that allow you to listen to a long snippet. Really solid.

I got it in March (I think it may have been out in 2002 elsewhere, as Mike Sae might have said he got it last year), and it's had a fair bit of play in the house. I caught Buck on his Synasthesia tour, and he played some of the tracks off it then.
I'm not totally convinced by the movements thing. It kinda reminds me of some of Odd Nosdams stuff, in that 60% of a track may work really well, but then you sit through a bit that doesn't, or seems unconnected. Still, it isn't nearly as bad as the Greethink release in that respect.
Hmm, that sounds overly negative. I think it is a really solid release, well worth anyones money. You used to be able to listen to the whole thing here, but it doesn't seem to work for me at the mo'.
BTW, he is touring at the mo', and his live show is not to be missed. He is really charismatic on stage, and his show is miles away from the usual hip hop gig.
