Double Hi Cap??

Posted by: Andy B on 25 July 2002

Hi,

I've got some spare kit gathering dust since my last upgrades and haven't got round to advertising it yet, so I was wondering if there's any way I could use my 2nd (spare) Hi Cap in my sytem. I recently saw an article in a magazine where they were praising an all Naim system (and rightly so) comprising CDX/82/250/Hi, but in the photo they showed 2 Hi-Caps, so I don't know whether they made a mistake, were trying to balance their photo, or it is possible.

I'm running a CDX/102/SC/250/Hi so I would be most interested to hear if I can use the other one.
Failing that feel free to mail me if you need one (or a 180!).

Cheers,

Andy.

The 82 can be powered by 2 hi caps. See the manual 82 Manual

Hi Andy,

I might be interested in another Hi-Cap. However, your mail address doesn't seem to be too accessible to the likes of me. Could you perhaps check the serial number so as to determine the age?

Thanks, that clears that up!

Herm, my correct e-mail address is andrew.bentley@db.com.
I don't suppose you know how to change your User Profile? I can't seem to do it.

Andy,

to edit your profile click "My Pop" first, then click "Profile".

Any plans to start putting product reviews on the site... or is this going against the grain?

Be good for those of us who can't get reviews from other countries!

Hi Andy B,

Just wondering whether you have sold your spare Hi-cap or use it for your system. Let me know, as I live in London as well.

Originally I want to upgrade to supercap, but as you know it's rarely available on 2nd hand market. If I get it new, it will be next year. Meanwhile to add 2nd Hi-cap, it makes sense.

cheers
Martin

"I saw that article too, it was the one where they paired the equipment with the Wilson-B Arcs"

Anybody have this article? Could anybody fax a copy over to me?
