Thinking of buying an nVi, help

Hi

I have a need to consolidate my av reciever and dvd player into one box to create space, get rid of a cabinet, for my 2 channel system.

I have an LP12 as my front end and all Naim amplification including a SL.

I am thinking of getting an nVi and Sky HD along with a new panel and putting both on my Fraim which is to the side of the room.

Two questions, is it easy to convert the DVI output to HDMI with a custom cable perhaps from Chord, and given the picture is 576p does/has anyone had any problems using with an HD panel?

Many thanks

Jez

have read of some problems with the handshaking using dvi to hdmi from the n-vi, having said that i demoed my n-vi via hdmi and component into panny 428 plasma, i found the component run smoother in my opinion, i run it via component into my fujitsu plasma with very good results,

no problems here - I've been using quite a long DVI-HDMI cable (5 metres-ish) to a Pioneer 43" plasma and the picture's great - even though it's SD, the quality rivals some HD pictures I've seen, even without upscaling (sore point).
Don't forget that the DVI output is just that - video - no audio of course, but I guess you'll handle that through the 2 channel system
Hope that helps
Cheers
