Sterling Cooper Draper Price

Two episodes in and better than ever!

Agreed Graeme.

Best show on TV. Perhaps the best drama ever.

May I use this opportunity to publish a gratuitous Christina Hendricks/John Harris picture?

We are through episode 8 in the U.S. and it gets even better. I agree Kevin, for me it's the best show that I have ever seen.

Vaughn, from the reports I've heard from my friends Stateside, Episode 7 of this series sees the show hitting new heights....

Whoa now. Mad Men is the best show on TV but the best drama ever distinction is reserved for The Wire. Your friends are right, episode 7, "The Suitcase" is a real treat in an already very strong season. I wish they hadn't said anything because the anticipation spoils the surprise a little.

NO SPOILERS PLEASE!

I'm catching up on my iPad, just finished season two.

I would say that episode 7 & 8 together represent perhaps the biggest turning point in the entire series. Obviously I can't say much without spoiling so I'll just wait for everyone to catch up and then we can comment.

LUV MAD MEN...and have been fascinated to see the evolution of the various characters: Don of course, being central to all, but Peggy is probably the character with greatest change. Must be a fabulous role for an actress.

And just to show you can't please everyone........I just don't get this show.! I have tried, friends have continually being trying to get me to like it since the beginning but I'm afraid not!! I do accept it's well written and almost might accept it may be one of the best things on tele at the moment....etc, but I don't get it.

ho hum.... back to reruns of the Sopranos ..............and The Rockford files!

Mad Men is a sloooow burner.

The menace it's almost palpable.

Good thing though the menace isn't palpable otherwise everyone would like Mad Men!

Well, I would have to agree about the Sopranos.
It was so brilliant I didn't even mind our central character beating someone with a baseball bat once in awhile.
But even my 28 yo son who lives in Paris, follows Mad Men passionately...he sees the US episodes just after they air...while I always wait for them to arrive in the UK.
The other great series currently aired is 'Damages'...wow, try to follow it!
And, yes January Jones is pretty much out of the loop now...and somehow just doesn't seem that appealing any more.

There's a horrible story on The Guardian's site.

As A Sky refusenik I hope it isn't true...

That would be bad news. Hopefully the boxed sets will sort it out later
When I grow up, I will get married to Christina Hendricks

Why spoil it by getting 'married'..? Look at her relationship with her juvenile husband. I recon the 'boss' [can't think of his name] had the best her...in the hotel room. I'm all for keeping Ms Hendricks in my fantasy world where things will never change..!

Oi, who are you calling juvenile?

Ha...! only her husband, but then you did use the phrase: 'when I grow up'. I enjoyed the other night's episode where Don now has this
secretary he has no control over...interesting
how the writers have turned his world upside down.
