Status Quo

In a fit of peak I recently obtained a (CD) copy of Piledriver, which I think is excellent, but I have been somewhat lambasted for this purchase.
I always thought that Mr Rossi was a pretty damn fine guitar player who wrote some fine tunes

Some body will lambast you for whatever you purchase(not only you).
I loved Quo live gigs(bloody loud).
Only got a GH collection,12 gold bars I think.

Never a great fan of the Quo but I did kinda like them. Saw them twice in the early 80's (1980 & the 1+9+8+2 "Farewell Tour") and they rocked on both occasions - great sound and really tight as a unit. Saw 'em once more early this year in a Theatre in Llandudno and they were utter shite with a truly awful sound.

Steve O.

I have the first three Quo albums from the days when they had a keyboard player and still think Pictures of Matchstickmen and Ice in the Sun are two of the great singles.

I quite like bits of their first few albums, and think Quo and Hello are pretty good albums

I just like them because they're "STAT-us Quo" stateside but "STAY-tus Quo" in the UK. Almost as good as the 80s pop band Vitamin Z (Vigh-tuh-men Zee vs. Vit-uh-men Zed).
All things to all people.

I think they have made some really great singles (Down Down, What your proposin', Caroline etc) but they are a conversation killer in polite soiciety (a bit like admitting you like Jazz). My wife mentioned that she quite liked them when she was out with some colleagues from work, the room fell silent, tumbleweed gusted through and ultimately she had to 'get her coat'.
