Dear Stefan,

You have known my real name for years, so it should be a bit easier for you! [Send me an email: I have lost your address, with a change of my address to Fredrick1961@hotmail.com ] I went to my initials for the sake of clarity and authenticity, for the non-initiates!

For them the truth is George Fredrik Fiske Johnson. Still half Norwegian, still mad, still an ex-player of the bass, still wild about JS Bach, and still in love with Poland as a nation and all good people. Well all my friends are good people!

I have no idea what they see in me!

Fredrick,

As I said to you in an email a while back, it would take time to get used to you being a George (or even a Goerge!), but now you are out in the open it will become easier.

It shows the measure of respect that no one who you have corresponded with has revealed your identity before.

All the best

Nic

I was just kidding, George...

My email address composes from my alias on this very forum and the provider is "online.de".

Easy...

Stefan

(Wish you could comment on the very new Grimaud Beethoven recording. Well, one day you will...)

To my most musical friends, here in the best part of the forum!

I have valued my semi-alias for four years, but I do believe in stripping off the veneer! Get to the Oak or MDF underneath! Time for this, and people can be as rude or nice as they like now. I am getting a grip, and finally feel the need for no brick walls. No hiding...

Stefan I will attempt to send tomorrow, as the Merlot has been open since Monday and was drinkable and was drunk with pleasure this evening!

Listening to old Helmut Walcha playing Bach preludes and fugues before a restful night for the first time in two weeks. I slept, but tonight, I shall also rest!

Inexpressibly kind regards to you all from George

I was a heavy smoker, myself (three packs of Gauloises, a day) - So I'm entitled to speak... While I vaguely remember some "pleasures" with it, the morning coughing does not belong to it.

Although... Funnily, when I quit, amongst the things I missed badly was "a deep breath".

Off topic, I guess

Stefan

I only smoke roll-ups, and at that about 12 grams in two days. The act of rolling takes all the time! I ride a push-bike and have an excercise regimen! In February I had a work medical in whiuch I had the lung finction of a 39 year old in spite of being 45. Then I told the lady doctor I smoked, and she said, "Never mind!"

George,

Give up man. There is no pleasure in losing lung function and turning your arteries into porridge. Enjoy JSB for longer! Winker
