CD3.5 Puck

Should I be able to get a replacement Puck for my CD3.5 from a dealer or should I contact Naim direct. Also does anybody know how much one costs.
Thanks
Mark

You should be able to get one from your dealer. Not sure of current price maybe others can assist here?

Worth replacing once a year, I reckon.
I've found that they stay more sticky if left off the 'platter' when not in use.
Somewhere dust free, of course.

Is the Naim Puck universal. My naim dealer is ordering me one but says the puck will fit all Naim CD players. Is this correct?
thanks

Mark,
There are two different types of puck: regular and extra strong. Both will work with every Naim player, but not with every CD. The latter exerts a greater force which is necessary with some CDs that are too thin and cause the player to misread if you're using a regular puck (the CD just skips as the transport tries to spin it). Until a few years ago, many Warner Brothers CDs were too thin, for example.
