Rega Loudspeakers

I have the rega Alyas, which I generally like. They get the midrange right, which I really appreciate.

However, the tweeter never lets you forget that these are inexpensive speakers. It's not offensive, but it's rather blunt.

Am wondering if the higher Rega speaker share the same tweeter (or cross-over). What do you get when you go up the Rega line. Just more bass, or do you also get a more refined loudspeaker?

Nick,

The XEL used to be Rega's flagship speaker. Hovever, it was replaced by the NAOS. The ELA was the next in line. IIRC, the XEL and NAOS use the larger driver of the JURA not the smaller one of the ARA, ALYA and ELA.

For now, Dave

The Naos also have better tweeters - silk domes from Morel, I do believe.

Steve.
