What makes a great design? Form and function in harmony? What is your favourite?

Here is a thing of terrible beauty

Kuma,

At least you did not have your 'briks' reflected in your toaster. There is hope for you yet. Winker

erik,
I appreciate your encouragement.

Mick,

I haven't had opportunity to *fondle* those older 51s.
I prefer the way the Duofold in my hand. Altho, I don't own any Parker.

You must be a collector with eight vintage Parkers!

Jono! exactly this.
for those who do not know:
if the turntable is closed it looks perfectly
homogenic.

and it should stand on an walshelf of exact width.

any better designs in Complete turntable, receiver,cd,systems.???
imo :maybe without a turntable ,but none with turntable.

did i forget braun?

Kuma

I once had 88 pens now I am down to 56.

Pens should be used and not stored in some collectors breifcase.

I therefore only sell to people who I know will use them on a regular basis.

Got to be Sunburst

I always wanted one since listening to Clapton with the Bluesbreakers as a teenager.

Chilkram!i agree completly to the sunburst.
I Own a cheap copy of an les paul (only black colour with white frame)but imo sunburst is "the colour" of the rock music of the late sixtyies and seventies O.J.

And you don't consider yourself a collector?

Agreed.

I have three fountain pens.
None of them probably have a collector's value and I purchased when my daily use one needed to be repaired or I thought I lost it.

Last 5 years, I have been using the Dunhill AD2000. I dropped it once and has been repaired but it never writes right since then. ( it probably needs a brand new tip )

Yes. Musfed.
I've a blue/black M800 but with silver trims instead of the usual gold. I purchased it whilst my A 2000 was in service.
M Series Pelikans write better than their steel nib set.

I could not deal with the manual refil. ( they do not take cartridges! ) Frown
Beutifully crafted, but is not really practical for me.

Chillkram - Great link. I haven't seen that site and I am now going to browse in my lunch hour. Fab stuff.
The Strat of course is probably even more of an icon.

A lot easier and quieter to play like that.
It's got to be red like Hanks' though.

They always sound louder with strings on.
