Rolling Stone article kills off Gen McChrystal

So not a huge surprise that the Gen had to walk after his unguarded comments in the Rolling Stone article. (What was he thinking in having a left-wing journalist following him and his team on a booze cruise around Europe? Did he want to get out?)

What amazed me, however, is that the piece was a sideshow for Rolling Stone magazine, which has Lady GaGa's machine gun tits on the cover. Don't get me wrong, I love Ms Germanotta to bits and, if she's reading this (unlikely!), I'd like to propose my hand in marriage.

But isn't the world rather out of kilter at the moment? Or are we all going to die under the culture of 'celebrity'?

I think Gen McChrystal killed off Gen McChrystal, Rolling Stone provided the weapon.
Who's Lady Gaga?

The guy who connected the reporter to the general resigned a couple of days ago.

At first, I thought McC did it on purpose, because he suspected his strategy would fail. That way, he could claim the West would have won if he hadn't been fired - and he was fired only for exercising his right to free speech.

Now I think he and his staff were so arrogant that they simply couldn't keep their mouths shut.

Regards.

She's the girl I hope to marry, as I explained above!
