Queens Of The Stone Age live

I've just got back from seeing Queens Of The Stone age live at the Kool Haus in Toronto. They had 2 warm up acts on, 1st black maria I think they were called, a local band. Not bad at all, and the distillers. The distillers wasn't too much my thing.

The Queens were very good, playing most of their stuff of songs for the deaf. I particularly enjoyed songs for the dead. I must go and try and get some sleep now, despite that ringing in my ears. Maybe I shouldn't be thinking all them people with ear plugs were pansies and get some myself......

I saw them earlier this year at the Brixton Academy and know what you mean about the volume. My ears were still ringing two days later to such an extent that it could be heard over the noise of a transatlantic flight! What a show though.

Ear plugs are certainly starting to seem worth considering. The ironic thing though, is that the concert that did the most damage to my hearing was when I went to see Trooper for a laugh at university. They may have been there for a good time, not a long time (indeed, they looked like they had the night off from Canadian tire) but damn were they loud! It was in a crappy little club, and I had a stack of amps firing almost directly at my left ear all night.
