vinyl quality

Just bought a few new pieces of vinyl from the same online distributor. Two of them - Incredible String Band - Hangman's Beautiful Daughter & Joni Mitchell - Blue are playing superb. However, Polly Harvey - White Chalk - isn't doing so well - in particular her voice is breaking up as if there is dirt on the stylus at pretty low volume levels (9 O'clock).

What are others' experiences of this kind of thing? I am wondering if I should just send the PJ H back? Confused

I have all three of those vinyl records - you should not be having any problems playing Polly Jean's White Chalk send it back - it must be a rogue pressing.

Some things never change!

There were always duff pressings.

Send it back and request a replacement.
