Easy enough to install and it even almost works sometimes.

my own experince is that it's rubbish - works sometimes but mostly never.

I have found the opposite, it was the best UpNP server that we tried...allowing pausing of music and a set and forget operation.

Although, in saying that we had a fairly simple need...20 albums in FLAC format serving up to a single Uniti for shop demonstration only - we are not hard core usrs of it. We also have a Naim NS01 server which now serves up all we need.

Please,
If somebody can use the UPnp control point feature of Twonky under Mac, please let us know!
(I especially speak about the "play to" a UPnP renderer feature...)

Get the hint JLD its shit.

The premium control point for mac is without doubt Songbook, however he realised that so has charged a lot for it.

It does work properly though. I don't have an answer for UPNP server software I found nothing that worked for very long before going tits each and every day. The most stable was AMS but very limited file formats, have not looked at it for a while though.
