If it's so good why's it for sale so soon.

Eh......
If the guy was selling a flatcap and had said"Naim flat cap 2.Works on the same principle as a hi-cap at half of the cost. Will bring new life to your CD5"would you still be asking the same question?
Paul.

Perhaps the flatcap is established, whereas the jury's still out on the RA unit.

I bought a PP3 (no, not the little square battery - but may as well have been one). I found it was just about a fraction not as good as a Flatcap (mark 1).
RA's claims of it being an upgrade over a hicap are extremely optimistic, in this juror's opinion.
So that's why it's for sale?

What the RA web site says is:
To me only the last sentence applies...

PowerPak III is a 24V DC power supply with a 5 pin DIN connector, suitable as an upgrade for Naim Hi-Caps, Flat-Caps and SNAPS power supplies. It's perfect if you have an older Naim system and have never got round to investing in a separate power supply.
