Second hand NAT 01

Posted by: Reg on 18 October 2002

Gents (and Ladies),

I would like to purchase a second hand NAT01 tuner but am understanderbly having difficulty identifying one through the usual route, i.e. Loot.

Wondering if anyone could advise me of alternative advertising sources to pursue or potentially would like to sell thiers !!!

Thank you.

Try the ex-dem and second hand pages of the hi-fi dealers. I use Audio-T and Audio excellence.

Central Audio also have a very good used hi-fi page.

There is also loot!!

Hi Reg,

Look no further, ...how about this one...

There's a store in Germany that has a mint Nat01 for sale. (if they still have it)
In its original box, for 1800,- euro/1130,- UKP

see: http://www.springair.de

Gents,

Thanks for the useful replies - I will keep you advised of progress.

Just wondering what the absolute sonic difference is - if any - between the older 'silver case' version and later models ?

Reg

I hope you're not going to do a 'Nuno' on us!

I owned a 'Chrome bumber/big knob' 01 many years ago.

Obviously the sound quality depends on the quality of the station listended to. I remember listening to a live Radio 3 broadcast which was so amazingly life-like.

Wish I could afford one again now.

I have two NAT01s......I use the new style one in my main system. I have an immaculate "chrome-bumpered" one in my back room (I have the original boxes) that I feel may be a bit overindulgant. About 18 month ago, it was given a complete overhaul by Naim (I have all the paperwork). I might be persuaded to part with it for a good offer.
