Old hat! Tomorrows World September 17th 1971 they demonstated an ultrasonic screwdriver. Worked a treat! Never caught on apparently. Except with a few reactionary and eccentric time travellers using ear defenders.
Peasonally I think the guy with the tractor jacks invention also on TW (designed so that tractors could throw off the mud on their tyres before leaving a muddy field) should have been given a knighthood, sainthood and a decent win on the Premium Bonds. But we never heard any more about that one. And so it goes on. Decade after decade. Top-soil up to the eyebrows.
Since pig farms are industrial units that have no connection to the land other than muckspreading (or rather spraying in their case) why aren't they on industrial estates where they belong?
We should be told!
