I have a confession to make........I love Susan Boyle
Well lets rephrase that.....I love her voice !
Just been listening to the new album and........
BLIMEY its firking good - I mean seriously good!
She almost reduced me to tears with her rendition of: Silent night and Amazing grace songs/carols which took me back to early childhood.
Amazing stuff - Im now a fan that can understand what all the hype was about.
Scotty.

Very brave of you to "come out" in a public forum Scotty. I hope the other members don't take the p*ss!

More coin to the Cowell coffers.
He is in fact Satan.

Left for many years came back by accident and got stuck here. Place needs nuked and started again from scratch.
I prefer the south coast and am back off there in april.

I'd rather you used her proper name rather than that appalling tabloid contraction. The woman deserves to be treated with dignity.
Thanks

When you have nuked it can you leave our fine cathedral and my family, oh and Newcastle is rather a nice city, oh and Northumberland is quite gorgeous in parts.
Do you live in Peterlee?

Scotty,I think the only track on the album she struggles with is "Daydream Believer"
Posted on: 02 December 2009 by scottyhammer
Paperplane, lighten up man - it was quicker to type.
Blueknowz, Not sure its a struggle but probably the weakest track on the album although it seems the hardest to get right.

maybe it's just me, but I'm afraid I don't really like her voice - I hope no-one puts that CD into my Christmas stocking

Scary to admit but her version of Wild Horses really works for me.

Hi. No I don't. If you refer to York then my apologies. Lived there for three yrs and i do love the place still. As for the Northumberland countryside and castles and whatnot again i agree, in the summer beautiful indeed. Newcastle city centre... there every week at least. Just a city...plenty of them around really.
I should not have damned the whole North East in a single statement, as i refer to my own home town only (and similar ghettos). It is packed to the rafters with chav trash and police sirens and on second thoughts a nuke would be too quick and clean.
I've changed my location too. Please be not too offended.

Also,... I tried so hard not to.....But! SUBO??? Really???
Appallingly poor stuff, entirely rehashed, warmed over drivel from the music destroyer that is Simon Cowell. And you actually give him cash? The Devil spawn must be laughing all the way to the bank with his super polished teeth blinding people along the way!
I feel better now.

Oh Heavens! Why oh why should anyone have to apologise for liking a particular bit of music, and then have their preferences rubbished by the type of "Drivel" you've posted mongo?
Thankfully the Music Room is generally mercifully free of such biased nonsense so please don't start a trend now.
Tell you what mongo, you post the type of music you like and then we'll all rubbish it.

Already have on the posting for that.
The post you refer to is my own opinion, as this is a forum . In no part of my post do i require an apology for peoples taste and i would certainly never offer one for my own.
I can't imagine why anyone would wish to partake of a forum that only had happy-clappy huggy-wuggy sacharrine 'oh no, what if i offend anyone?' types of posting.
Tedium in the extreme. If there is no personal angle to any posting then regardless of it's content it is valid. If you are the kind of fellow so dreadfully easy to offend then public, spirited exchanges are perhaps not for you.
Bias is the essence of opinion. There is no getting away from bias. Most people in this context would call it personal preference/taste.
Good luck my friend and please feel free to entirely ignore my posts.
I promise not to be offended.

ok lads lets get back on topic shall we ?
After playing su's album last night i started playing other female vocal albums that i like and found that to my ears at least she is up there vocally with them and i dont find the music rehashed or inferior of a recording at all.
in fact its a lovely pressing IMHO.
As for Simon cowell...well if he backs people like su who are talented then all well and good i say. As for his business qualities (no matter what you think of him) - the boys done good and thats beyond debate!! £££££££££££££££££
Feel free to chew that over.

Hi Scottyhammer. She's not my thing but good luck to you.
It's not the recording i refer to and no one can question the Cowell creature's business acumen. But i do question his contribition to music, and the happy-clappy nature of his tv programme.
I don't believe he has the slightest interest in music as such but just the sort of nonsense mega m o r stuff that sells in bucket loads to grannies and others who buy it without thought as xmas gifts.
The whole cac factor -britain has... dross is so lamentable as to be beyond parody or even belief and as such all of it's products are tainted beyond repair or indeed hope.
There you go offended people. Chew on that!
No, really. Please, feel free.
