Don't forget the card and flowers

Posted by: Don Hooper on 12 February 2010

Loads going on at work so Tuesday my partner said to me what's importand about Sunday? My reply FA Cup fith round Palace V Aston Villa. What else she said, not alot apart from chilling out,and it's a couple of our friends birthday. The look I got was choice.

I have got the romantic bit sorted already, but it's a good wind up. Anyone else got a similar story.

Its a pity the event happens before the daffs are out in the garden, otherwise a fortune could be saved Winker

Personally I have never spoiled my good lady with all that flowers and chocolates nonsense. She has been well trained. I just give her flowers whenever I feel like it which is maybe once every 2 years.

Remember the old saying "treat them mean keep them kean."

Ewemon: You're a brave man. Spend many nights out on the couch as a result? Winker A little loving is a small price to pay for the all important 'wife approval' when purchasing new bits of Naim kit. Haven't figured out how to tell her that I am buying a couple of Allaes in about four months! Big Grin

Munch:

I only thought people on this side of the world did that! An amendment is being planned with copyrights legislation. In a few months, anyone caught with a pirated copy of a CD will be subjected to a fine. Looks like they are no longer interested in going after the retailers of pirated CDs. Unfortunately, most of the kind of music I listen to is not even available from the pirates as jazz is just not profitable enough to duplicate. Therefore, I am able to stay on the right side of the law. Phew! Thank God.

I bought Mrs S our first house on Valentines day many years ago.

She knows better than to expect flowers (unless it's presented to her by the waiter after our meal at the local Tandoori restaurant).
