Has anyone ever held this artifact in their hands?
I don't normally care for rare records, but I would love this one!

I have the triple CD, but I want the vinyl.
There is no rationale to this, I know all the music well, but I just want the record, but not at that price.
I often wish to happen across it at a car booty, but i don't see it happening!

That's a bootleg. The 'official' vinyl was released in Japan at the same time as the CD. It comes up occassionally at gemm.com and ebay at the $120 mark. Not bad considering when In saw it in UK stores it was £100 new. Same cover as the CD.
If that's too rich, why not buy up original US versions of the 3 LPs that make up Lather? If you are interested I'll can give you the number of a place where it will cost around $30 for all these LPs.

I completely understand. But the price doesn't seem that unreasonable. How obsessed does that make me?
I have UK vinyl issues of Sleep Dirt/Orchestral Favorites/Studio Tan/In New York (the latter on double CD too, I think it has more!) plus of course the triple CD. So I'm pretty much covered.
I would like original good condition vinyl of Hot Rats, One Size Fits All and Waka Jawaka. I have all three but the former is very rough and the latter two are from the Old Masters remasters.

On one size fits all how do you know if its a remaster?
I have it on record, but also know of a similar one at a shop near to me, neither says remaster on it.
Its on the discreet label.
Its is also one of my favorites, fantastic.
Have you heard the ochestral version of inka roads as well?

It will be on the Barking Pumpkin label. Also some of the stars on the cover have different names. You have an 'original', but from an experience a US 'original' will sound noticeably better than a UK one.
I picked up original '1A' US pressing of Waka Jawaka. The LP goes to places where the CD doesn't know exist.
Have you ever seen the Inca Roads live performance video and animation from 'Dub Room Special'? Very nice. According to Gail Zappa the DVD release of this is imminenent.
