Fopp Records to reopen and Vrigin Megastores Rebrand

I see that HMV have bought FOPP and the stores will be starting to reopen within the next few weeks.

Virgin Megastores are rebranding themselves as ZAVVI don't ask me why.

A limited number of Fopp stores have already reopened but not all are going to do so. The Union Street one in Glasgow is open again but the Byres Road one isn't. The Cockburn Street one in Edinburgh has already been replaced by something completely different.

Virgin recently sold their record stores to Zavvi Entertainment Group. Hopefully it'll result in more than just a change of name because I think Virgin stores are about the worst out there.

The price for new albums on vinyl in the Union St store are very high. Avalanche Records in Dundas St is much better.
