Is the new Ian Dury biopic actually showing anywhere?

Trailed as being a fantastic film, especially Andy Serkis' performance, which is touted as potentially award-winning.

So where's it on?

It's only been out for two weeks, haven't yet seen it listed for any cinema in a 50-mile radius, and it is not on any 'forthcoming' list - including the arthouse cinema in Cambridge.

Vue has it on in Glasgow, Braintree and Stevenage.

Is it anywhere else? (Preferably in the Cambridge-Ipswich-Norwich-Peterborough irregular trapezium.)

Or am I going to have to wait for it to go onto BluRay and invite myself round Tonym's?? Winker Big Grin

Same here.
It's a late screening at the local Vue cinema near Chester, 22:50 Mon - Thurs. Makes it difficult to get to. A film I would really like to see though.

Steve.

Same story round by me (Bournemouth and Barnstaple) and no sign of the Lennon film either save for a one-night showing at the arty cinema in Poole.

Looks like DVD for me.

It's just finished 1-2 week showing at Screen on the Green in Islington. May still be showing in some of their other cinemas in town.

PS I didn't go.

I saw it in Islington the other weekend.

Superb film. Entertaining but also told a story and helped me understand the man better.

A must see if you can.

John.

Just been listening to Radcliffe & Maconie on Radio 2 and they have absolutely slated it. Comments along the lines of "It's hard to enjoy a film when it doesn't let you warm to the lead character" and "If you didn't like Ian Dury you won't get it, and if you did, you won't like the way they've done it".
Guess I'll put my name down on the waiting list at blockbuster like everyone else.
Regards,
Steve.
