How do you tell the difference between the new naim "lavender" interconnect and the old grey one.
I supposedly just received a "lavendar" interconnect, but it looks pretty grey to me, and in fact looks the same as the one I was using. However, the numbers on the little plastic direction rings are differant. Mine says "NA 46" while the "new" one says "NA 34". Anybody know what these numbers mean.
For the record, both of my interconnects are a lighter color grey than the old grey snaics.
Thanks
Judd

The numbers issues seems totally random to me I would love an answer I have a na-46 and a na-22 (both available incedently, snigger)
For the record I think they are exactly the same leads and I don't believe the numbers have any bearing on anything on this green earth.

This recurring question is worthy of inclusion on the FAQ site. The number after NA indicates which person at NA actually constructed the lead- sort of like a signature, but with an employee number instead of a name. Shades of the Prisoner, maybe?

The higher numbered snaics are definitely more musical, demonstrate greater PRaT etc.
Actually, I believe the number merely indicates who at NAIM made them. FWIW I have a particular (irrational) fondness for NA 34.

Hi Justin!
The older cable is grey and a little bit smaler. The newer one is more grey-blue (or lavender), a little bit bigger and more rigid.
If you have a recent CDX or CD 5 you should have this one. Or maybe you are lucky enough to buy this one for cheap on e-bay
I have changed my CDS cable and my radio one for this new lavender with great pleasure. The difference is not as big as going from a grey to black snaic but it still noticable.

Thanks Bernard,
Well, I guess I already had this cable afterall. So, I think It's going back up on ebay. I'll wait until your current listing has ended as not to flood the market.
Thanks guys.

That's mine, and it's brand new.
I never use it, though - it won't fit into the back of my Densen preamp.
It's always a nice day for it Have a good one!
Steve.
It's good to get back to normal.

What "new naim "lavender" interconnect" are you on about?
Never heard of it.
Is it an interconnect for between the HiCap (for my Prefix say) and a NAC???
