Marianne Faithfull

According to R4 a few days ago, Marianne has been diagnosed as having breast cancer.
I wish her well with her recovery, she has recorded some great albums over the years.

And so is Strange Weather. I remember her as a haunting, if slightly louche beauty in the company of rock aristocracy, before anyone knew she could sing with such ravaged soul...
Hope she recovers well.

A slight confusion here I think. The apocraphal version is :
"Two songs of the Stones' 1971 album Sticky Fingers have direct or indirect Faithfull's presence. "Wild Horses"' chorus ("wild horses couldn't drag me away") was originally a phrase said by Marianne right after she went out of coma in 1969, after suffering an 150-barbiturate overdose in an Australian hotel; and "Sister Morphine"'s lyrics were entirely written by her, but she just was credited as a co-writer of the song after a legal battle."
It is also claimed that Keith wrote 'Wild Horses' as a lullaby for his son Marlon after being away from him on the road.
Rolling Stones songs written with or about Marianne: As Tears Go By, Sister Morphine, Wild Horses, and You Can't Always Get What You Want.

Good luck to her.
On records: North Country Maid, 20th Century Blues and Before The Poison are also very good.
