Dr. Who Easter Special - Planet of the Dead

Did anyone else watch it?
I though it was pretty good, not the best story line ever, but there were some good funny bits in there and it had some substance.
Looks like we'll see a return of Michelle Ryan in the future, which is no bad thing. She seems to have actually turned into a half decent actress since leaving Eastenders.
So what did other people think? Any Dr. Who fans around these parts?

Never miss it, we enjoyed it, a slightly different twist on the time portal thing. MR not too poor on the eye either, good sexual tension with the Dr.
I personally wouldn't let UNIT guard an ice cream van, gung ho loonies.

Indeed, i also found the appearance of Lee Evans a very nice surprise. He didn't over do it, but it certainly brought another dimension of entertainment to the episode.
The next one looks like it could be very good.
Side note: What do you think of the next doctor? Im not too sure about him, looks a bit.... hmmmm He was in the short series Moses Jones and i wasn't overly impressed.

Looking forward to the next series; new head writer and new doctor! I think the Russell T Davies stories are normally the most lame ones and last night's was a prime example. The actor playing the new doctor is a very fine actor indeed - whether he can carry off the this role though we will have to see!

Really enjoyed last nights episode, funny and tension at the same time. lost interest in the Christmas episode and gave up. Lee Evans was a nice part and agree wrt Michelle Ryan being a decent actress, certainly nice on the eye!

Russell T Davies only collaborated in the writing of last night's episode as was evident by the absence of a gay subtext.

thought it worth watching for Michelle Ryan alone.I likes the look of her.my wife says its my age.

I don't think appreciating Michelle Ryan is age dependent. I am very pleased to see she some decent acting skills after Eastenders. The Bionic Woman was good, not sure if its on any more though.
I certainly didn't think it was the best episode ever, and was expecting a little more considering there are only going to be three installments this year, but it was something new. And the next one looks like a new 'enemy' as well, they aren't going over old ground (as far as i know).
Considering MR got turned down for the part of the Dr's assistant once before, it would be interesting to see if she comes back in that capacity later this year, or next series. She might just be a reoccurring character. Although, they seem to do it alot that the Dr. insists he won't have another assistant, and then gets one next episode.
Lots of possibilities!
