Need some remortgage advice

I need to do some remortgage work to clear some fairly hefty debts built up during periods of redundancy etc. We're going to need to push the limits on borrowing/income ratio so can anybody recommend any financial institutions that may be a bit more relaxed in this area than HBOS, for example.
