Turkey day

Tomorrow I get so see 3 cousins and their mates and aunt Myrl at 94. Then I head down to my folks another 30 miles south for 3 days. Looking forward to the dinner, going early so we can walk around the beach town and get caught up on so many things.
Thanksgiving was my favourite holiday when we lived in Orange County in the late 80s. At that time at least it had managed to avoid gross commercialisation and was a genuine family and friend based celebration. I loved all three we spent there. Being able to watch I Love Lucy and Twilight Zone marathons was merely a bonus.
