Honestly I don't understand your system but yer in for a time of it. I was watching BBC America, NOBODY is happy and being turned away from the polls is frightening, but then we had that happen when GW took over.
I'll put a helmet on and duck for cover.

In the main, the result is splendid. The people have voted for electoral reform! Simple as that. If Mr. Cameron gets it right then he will form a Government that implements electoral reform with Mr. Clegg’s assistance. I would not trust Mr. Brown to fail to be the Judas to Mr. Clegg if he is eventually chosen.
Mr. Brown’s ability to tell untruths is proven, and if I were Mr. Clegg, then I would watch him fail as a leader of a minority government. Of course the Labour party may sack Mr. Brown and then the situation alters ...
Of course Mr. Cameron might himself try to form a minority administration.
Those who were not issued ballot papers before ten o'clock [the legal requirement to vote, rather than joining the line before ten o’clock] have only themselves to blame for being so tardy in going to vote. The stations open at seven am. and close at ten pm.! Even so, no one is suggesting that the result was materially [or significantly marginally] affected by the lost votes.
Interesting times indeed!

I really hope that there is a referendum by the end of this year asking the people if they want reform.
The UK needs an elected second chamber. With PR.

100% agreed, BUT (big but)
I bet the deal going on at the moment will include a commons free vote on either going for an all party commons committee or (unlikely) a referendum.
The result of a free vote will be to vote it out
90% of the public might want & have voted subliminally for, if not PR, at least a change to something different
But the "executive" we poor plebs voted for on 6-May don't want to touch it by about 70%

I think it has been proved time and time again , you can't trust the electorate to make the right decision, mind you neither can the politicians.

'lo BH.
Back when I was a young empty head I had nothing but contempt for the electorate and thought politicians saner... (I know,I know. But I was very young)
Btw, before the prissies start their tears allow me to state that the electorate here is an amorphous headless mob; millions of people, millions of biases, millions of misunderstandings and self delusions and told tens of thousands of lies by any and everyone concerned with any aspect of politics.
But now that I'm an older, emptier head I realise that no one anywhere knows what is going on or would have a clue what to do about it if they did.
So on election night and in general I prefer to laugh manically for for a short time, then pour the wine, turn off the news and turn up the Bach......
We may well all be f>*%$d but, best laugh as the ship sinks eh?
Regards, Paul.

Those wanting PR, which version do you agree on? Do you think those protesting at the weekend agree amongst themselves?
