Ting Tings - excellent; Martha Reeves; eeek but Respect; Dizee Rascal - oh yes; Annie Lennox - Why, indeed... Duffie - superb performer... Lillie Allen cannot do big band stuff but has lovely arms.

Hmmm, thought pretty much the whole show was very weak, & I like JH!
Tin-tings fun, but I'm sick of that song, Lily Allen & Duffy were crap, such thin, body-less voices. Martha Reeves was the token "hall of fame" type act, & reminded me of a cabaret tribute type act, which is a shame, 'cos in their time, they did some good songs. Dopey rascal, I've got no time for anyway.
AT least Kelly whatsisname from Stereophonics had a bit of a voice on him, & knew how to use it. Annie Lennox is another artist I've enjoyed greatly in the past, but she did seem a bit strained, which is at odds with her usual delivery.
Sorry.
Bit of a Bah-humbug I guess, aren't I?
Happy new year
Matt.

Unmitigated crap. Needs taking outside and humanely destroying.

AL below par still knocked the others for six. Crap show, no surprises there, how that guy gets air time beats me.
Elton had some new hair, we turned over(not for long) during that vomit making song C in the Wind.

Wheel em on and wheel em off. As long as the ratings are good it'll be the same next year. Pointless imo.

I recorded both shows.

I wish I had , that would have enabled me to skip most of them.

Here's mine TMP - Music isn't suitable for TV! Big Grin

Well I should probably get my coat, I quite enjoyed the program.

Due to the cocoon I live in I hadn't actually heard Duffy, Adele or The Ting Tings before. Loved the attitude and energy of the Ting Tings, don't know whether a whole album would be a bit much bit I really dug them.

Adele can sing, but so can several members of our local choir. Didn't I get Duffy at all.

I do find it fascinating reality TV though. I always amazed at how crass (and boring) the answers to some of Jools' questions are. You can see ( or at least I fancy I can) a lot of ego's out there, some letting go, others being very careful with their copyrighted image rights.

Martha, Rico and AL to an extent showed the surety of people both aware of their limits and limitations, no posing, just performing.

Leave Jools alone, he rules the Sloop household on New Year's Eve and that's the way I want it to stay.
