Great news! BTW, what is Sellafield II?

Thanks for that Kevin.

Are we talking April 2005? I wonder when I should camp outside Sister Ray?

I shall keep up the faith by listening to Sniper Mode, a modern electro combo.

OTD - Sonic - Speed of Light

btw, did a compliation tape this am of some Corvin Dalek favs, started with Crystal, featuring Bernard Sumner, and he was on the telly this morning. New Order revival anyone?

Jeremy

Sellafield II is a computer-generated voice piece about Sellafield II, the nuclear reprocessing plant in Cumbria.

I would love a New Order revival but their new single and album are both a complete pile of shit. They should have called it a day in '93!

Hmmmmm

Have to say there was a time when I would greeted news of a new Kraftwerk album with great enthusiasm but, sadly, no more.

I was hugely disappointed by 'TDF Soundtracks' and can't help but feel the live album is just going through the motions.

Kraftwerk have dropped the ball.

I read somewhere that they are more interested in cycling than music and I feel it sounds as though this is true.

A real shame - I still love the early albums though

I have to agree to disagree here. I have played TDF to death and really rate it. They were absolutely superb live at the Brixton acadamy last year. I would love a live album of this stuff

Always the optimist I will no doubt buy the new album when (if?) it apears . . .

I will listen with an open (and hopeful) mind; perhaps I missed something!

I know that it defeats the point of a live album a little but I would like most of the crowd noise to be removed from the recording so that the extended and reworked 'live' versions could be heard almost as a studio based album. Am I being a heretic here?

Strangely, Amazon.com lists Tour de France 2004 as a future release. Presumably it was the working title for Minimum Maximum...

Plus there is a link to this up on the Kraftwerk site....................but........................no date, ahem

BTW, kraftwerk.de is sometimes updated sooner than kraftwerk.com. E.g. some 2005 tour dates are shown on the former, including the Montreux Jazz Festival!
