I've often thought that if I myself were a parent I would never want to allow a non parent to look after my kids. Though as a kid myself I did actually babysit a lot, I suppose that's different, innit ? A great majority of people I know and have known over the years who come from various backgrounds and nationalities/countries all (in a nutshell) are/were serious pissheads, so I suppose one advantage to me not being a parent is that I don't have to prove myself by getting into their league of drunkenness & social inadequency on a regular basis, Sad as it may be innit.

Have you heard the Jack Dee monologue when he talks about meeting his new babysitter - a young girl of about 15 years old - "She wore glasses so she must be ok then".

If he actually stays together with his girl, and they go the whole show, which I certainly hope they will do & can, and obviously be very happy, You'll/they'll find that their whole 'Circle of 'Friends' will change, and possible conflicts start between family members (Grannies etc) . Hopefully they have their own place, and can get on fine with new friendships/associations that usually involve lots of other similarly aged babys, innit.
