Eclectic Mix?

Given my local shop was still doing their 3 CD's for 20 quid offer I decided to endulge myself despite last weeks "Trout Mask Replica" farce.

Anyway I went for:

Steve Earle - Copperhead Road (got it on tape somewhere but I haven't heard if for years)
King Crimsom - Discipline (this weeks risky purchase, I've no idea what to expect!)
Bob Marley and the Wailers - Rastaman Vibration
Sarah McLachlan - Solace
Propoganda - A secret wish (I used to love Duel and Dr. Mabuse)
Van Morrisson - No Guru, No Method, No Teacher (why does that title remind me of Vuk?)
Heather Nova - Siren
Suzanne Vega - days of open Hand
Mary Chain Carpenter - Shooting Straight in the Dark

So far I've only listened to the Steve Earle
("Well I got into a card game in a company town
Caught a miner cheating and I shot the dog down
Shot the dog down, watched the man fall
Never touched his holster, never had a chance to draw" - classic stuff) and the Suzanne Vega.

Should be some interesting listening this weekend.

Regards
Steve

Check out Webb Wilder and the Beatnecks 'It came from Nashville', if it's available.

If you like Days of the Open Hand I can recommend 99.9ºF and Songs in Red & Gray, both of which are better than DotOH, IMHO.
