Why is that album so expensive i have seen some copies for £150 Confused

It may have something to do with the fact that there was an actual zipper for the jeans on the cover of original copies. I don't think these were particularly rare though.

They apparently didn't do the album covers next to them much good though.

You said it. It always had to be on the end of the row otherwise it ripped the adjoining cover and didn't do the record much good either.

Yes, it's the original Andy Warhol cover with the working zip opening to expose a hint of Mick's bits that the collectors want.

I bought mine in the early 80s with the zip. Maybe it's the originals from the seventies that are valuable.

I was never curious enough to see what was behind the zip on my copy!

Apparently they weren't Mick's bits. It was a male model who was part of Warhol's entourage at the time.

I have a zipper copy that I bought when it first came out. I haven't played it for a long time but I seem to recall that it didn't sound too good.

Is this album one of the batch of recent remasters on CD? It might be worth trying that as an alternative. You don't get the zipper but you can always buy one from a local habadashers and stick it on to the CD case with selotape. It won't damage the disc that way (LOL)

The album sounds quite good -- actually unbelievably good -- to me and probably to a lot of other people which is why early pressings go for big money. It's not just the zipper.
