Occasional loud pops when playing vinyl on LP12...

Hi.

I've noticed a few big pops lately when playing vinyl on the LP12. It usually starts off fine, I'll get maybe to the end of a side and then POP! I think it's static, but everything is connected properly and the records themselves don't seem to have any static when I place them on the deck.

Could it have something to do with the fact I've got a living flame gas fire on in the room at the same time - maybe the hot dry air or something?

Any suggestions? It's spoiling my enjoyment of the vinyl right now...

Update: I've now got a Dynavector P75 which I'm evaluating. Initial results were very promising - it sounds better than the internal K boards and better than the 52-powered Prefix (pops and RFI aside), but whether it's worth the extra cost is another matter.

I'll have more of a chance to listen tonight and will report back...

I have my swiss physics pre-amp back.
Voltage stablizer is fixed but the pop from MC probably not. The engineer mentions the pop is from malfunction of the related phono modules. So I have to use step up transformer with MC head and MM pre-amp.

I have an on-loaned from my friend a RWR Audio Ltd stepup transformer, may need to buy one, any experience on Dynavector DV/6A stepup transformer?
