Shame the music is so unforgivable Smile

One of the bands I never got I'm afraid. He was an overrated self indulgent twat as far as I'm concerned.

Wrong thread guys.

A slightly daft thing for the Governor to do IMO.
I guess it puts the record straight so to speak.

I like his music. Razz

Perhaps he'll come out of hiding now?

Quote from the article:

"Nobody would like to have that charge hanging over their head, even if they are dead," Doors guitarist Robby Krieger told the Associated Press news agency.

Absolutely right: when you are already dealing with all the problems of being dead, you don't want on top of it to worry about getting a fine, or serving time in jail!

This might have been a joke? Or maybe not. These people did quite a lot of drugs, so you can't be sure.

I thought some of their music was quite good and some wasn't, but I'm not sure if BigH will allow me to say that.

Why on earth should I have any reason to say what you can or can't say?
Posted on: 10 December 2010 by graham55
Say what you like. I thought that The Doors were one of the best bands ever - and still do.

I think that Robby Krieger may have been "f*cking with 'em", as Americans say, when he said what he did, but (of course) he never saw Jim Morrison's dead body (who did?), so he may have been hinting that not all was as it seemed almost 40 years ago in Paris.

The Doors achieved what The Stones could never achieve and that is authentic white man Blues after Cream the best band of the 60's

Read this great book.

I prefer to use my ears which is why my Doors collection is quite limited while my Stones collection is extensive.

I thought we already had a Music I Hate/dislike thread?
