At the minute we get our telly through a bt vision box [nice picture when upscaled to 720].
When the switch over happens [nov 4th] will i be able or how can i receive hd broadcasts?
No one at bt seems to know.

Isn't BT vision freeview? If so that isn't being switched off. And it is only BBC 2 switching off on Nov 4th in the Granada area. The rest goes on Dec 2nd.

Sure but am trying to find out if freeview will now offer a HD service.

It's only analogue that's being switched off. BT Vision (and any other Freeview box Humax etc) will continue to work just fine.

Freeview HD is supposed to be coming once there's the bandwidth released by the analogue channels. I wouldn't hold your breath though, it may be some time.

The ball starts rolling just after midnight on 2 Dec.

I'm a little confused now with regard to the 4th November date.

BBC2 Analogue on C62 will be switched off - that follows the current routine - but what's not clear to me is will a multiplex be replacing it on the same day, or will one start there on the later date ie 2nd December.

Most of it will be done and dusted by 6am, but there a few relays that will be still switching up until the early evening.
