Haven't heard this yet as I'm working.

One I came across years ago is the telemarketers counter script. Just print them out and use them the next time you're called by a real(!) person trying to cold sell you something.

Just say that you would love to talk to them about a new kitchen/double glazing/insurence/whatever but that you are short of time. Ask them for their home telephone number and what time they get home from work and that you will call them then - you will find they put the phone down very quickly.
