Software Wishes for the HDX

* Enhanced possibilities to check if the ripping process was accurate.
I've already experienced that EAC easily outperformes the ripping engine from the HDX.
Suggestions : connection to accurate rip
% corrected bits per number (like EAC)
* possibility to delete individial numbers (via the PC)
* disable scanning of a NAS
It happend to me many times that I start playing from a NAS, suddenly the music is interupted while the NAS goes into
scanning mode. So I have to wait 5 minutes to resume playing.
When playing from a NAS is ongoing, re-scan should be put on hold.
* Possibility to add covers to the database
Sometimes the HDX can't find a cover. There should be a possibility to add them via the PC.
* Connection to last-fm

as far as i know, naim is working on an hdx/radio solution...the question will be , if it is free or will it cost something to upgrade.
i see the bare hdx as a neat one box solution with audiophile qualities ( i don´t necessary see the nas as an audiophile device ).the possibility to attache a nas and other devices might just came through customer wishes.
i still hope , that the provider of the discs will change their program to much larger ones soon...with the availability of internal radio i even might go for one...

I was using a playlist and you can either be in the playlist or now playing screen but I couldn't toggle between the two screens without going back out to the home screen. It seems like it should be easy to make a shortcut button to toggle tween the two.
In the now playing screen, there are numbers up in the right corner indicating song number of the total playlist number. This might be a logical place to toggle to the full list.

Connon,
What you can do is open two "windows" of the IPUI and set them to different screens and toggle back and forth this way.
What I usually do to have both up at the same time is to open the Current Playlist in the IPUI in either the normal screen or open "view" on the bottom right and then open the DTC and put it into Player mode which I then center at the top above the IPUI interface to simultaneously see the playlist and what's currently playing and the time bar.
There are some isssue with the "view" screens on the current playlist tab as it is not "live" meaning that the audio sysmbol advances to the next track, but not the green bar. It stays static until you close and re-open then will flash on the current song. Naim is aware of that.

My current wishes.
* The number of the playing song should be larger. Since the buttons 1-9 doesn´t seem to work on the remote it´s hard to find the right track without standing right infront of the screen. It would be nice if it was larger so I could be 3 meters away and still se what track am currently at when changing it. I don´t need to know if I´m at number 3 of 12 tracks if it´s to small to se anyway, I would rather have a large track number.
* I would also like if the screen could turn into "sleep mode" quicker than within 1 minute, 5-10 seconds would be better. In a dark room it´s bright.
* The row with play and next/previus buttons that appears whith a light touch on the screen should be able to also be fixed, such that i didn´t had to tuch the screen first to operate the player.
* A screensaver with the naim logo would also be nice.
