A Cds2/Xps a classic, more music, more fun,
And a 82 pre was a big upgrade, made me smile,
Happy new year to you all....

Hi,
I was upgraded from Nait 5 to Hajdinjak Labs Jubal 60 W triode integrated amplifier.
After audition of s/h CDX/XPS, I was not satisfied with the effect which that combo makes over C.E.C. combo and I was decide to buy C.E.C. TL 51 cd transport and C.E.C. DX 71 d/a converter which is the best digital source I was ever heard in my home.
I was also upgraded from Intro 2 to Hajdinjak Labs Chameleon speakers, but this is just temporary while I am waiting Hajdinjak's new floorstander to come.

I blew my hi-fi budget in a fit of retail therapy that I am still getting used to.
I started with a supercap for an 82 from one hi-cap.
Added a 52 then had that upgraded with the new pots and front panel.
Got the mains done in August.
Got an CDS3 in October.
250 Mk2 in December.
Question now is what next?
Aside from general fiscal recovery (all relatively cheap second hand upgrades except the new stuff) I guess the Supercap, then to a 252 then attack the speakers.
The new range really is the bollocks.

Oh I forgot the question duh!!!!
Must be the CDS3 but then everything pleased me no end for different reasons except the Supercap on an 82, big let down.
I guess with the CD player it was more a case of "shit oh dear, what have we got here" and still gets better all the time.
It makes shitty music sound good.

My best Hi-fi purchase of 2003 was a pair of Shahinian Arc loudspeakers. I cannot speak highly enough of them. I can hear so much more from my Naim gear. If I ever get any more pennies to spend, the speakers will now be the last thing I upgrade.
Happy New Year to you all.
Noel.
