Nextel Ring?

Scuse me for being a Div but can someone tell me which bit is the nextel ring is on my CD2 (my version has the plastic plate spring plate) as apparantly I have to dab it with bluetak every now and then to clean it. Is it the whole thing that the CD sits on or just the bit thats fits through the CD's hole?

Mine doesn't look like that (see photo) Did the CD2 have a different transport or has mine been changed to something else?

Hi Bigtrak,

The nextel ring type transport (CDM4) was only fitted to the CDS and CDI.

Hello all,

If nextel ring wears out, should I replace whole CDM4 or just repair the ring only? Also, I have some unclear points awaiting for your kind replies.
1) is nextel ring a proprietary design by NAIM?(i.e. do all CDM4 head have nextel ring?)
2) which version of CDM4 is used by NAIM. And these version of CDM4 compatiable to each other?
