What is the best way to clean the lazer lense and the spindle . It works fine but just curious for the future. Thanks Ted.

Hi Ted, no responses to this. Sad as I think it's an interesting question. I use a discwasher lenscleaning cd, the one with small brushes upon which u put a cleaning solution. I heard a clear improvement first time I used it. I know that some ppl advice against this because of the risc of scratching the lens. But i have now used it many times and have not experienced any problems.
Maybe the cleaning of the spindle and the mechanic is of more concern. Few months ago my player started to have problems reading some discs and first I thought it was a problem with the lens but it was the mechanic that had become dirty. A friend fixed that for me, how I don't know. Maybe many older players that have problems reading discs need a cleaning and not a new lens.
