unitiserve hard drive

Hi,

I was reading in hi-fi news unitiserve HD and SSD that the 1Tb drive is a Pipeline, does anyone know if it is this one Pipeline Review.
I am curious as I am uncertain whether a hard drive or SSD version would be better choice.

Thanks

maybe should have added a wink smiley at the end of my post. Clearly my number of posts illustrates my own problems. Cool

There is always a fear no matter how much storage you have that it won't be enough - what it needs is somebody to come up with a removable disk that you can slip in the player on demand. Optical disc media seems a good choice because of its longevity. If you could only store a whole album on a thin removable optical disc, preferably read only so it can't get corrupted, then you're there - perfect sound forever.

Alternatively give it a year and we'll have 2TB affordable SSD-DAS and the HD-NAS will become a museum piece.

How many bits in a song - if one or two or even three were not perfect would I notice?
