Any DVD5 remote defective (for a few minutes) ?

Posted by: karyboue on 22 January 2006

Mine refused to work for approx. 10 minutes this morning.

I replaced the batteries with new and it still refused to work. Mesured the new batteries. I changed them again, nothing. Reversed the batteries. Then changed the batteries to the old ones, nothing, shaked the remote, nothing.
At the end it worked again Confused

So I have 2 questions :
1-What should I do with the remote now that it works ?
2-What should I do if I notice 2 months later that the remote of my AV2 that went for a repair to my dealer then to the distributor, is missing from the box ? Red Face
That's a bad day Frown

next time it happens try this:-

1) press the white "AV" button on the remote,
2) then press and hold "open" and "subt" buttons on remote.
3) then whilst holding the "open" and "subt" and buttons, press 1 on remote.

Then repeat procedure, but instead of pressing "AV" at the start press white "DVD" button and follow 2) and 3) above.

you dont need to point the remote at anything (but make sure batteries are working)
