I need to justify something.

Hi All

I have the following set up CD5/112/150 and B&W 602S'3 and I want to add a Hicap before upgrading my speakers in the new year.

Problem: I need to justify paying for the Hicap. How can I explain what it does to the 'boss' indoors.

Stevie,

FC2 has an advantage. It looks like 150. Did she notice how many boxes you have now?

After a chat with my local dealer I am starting to look a little more into the future. The CDX2 is a possibility I'd rather save towards right now as the long term sound would be better than that of a FC2.

Last year I had CD5/FC2/112/150. This year I went to CDX2/282/HC2/250 and ended with CDS3/XPS2/252/SC2/300 on fraim.

Billy vee now have the 705's on dem, I had a listen and was suitable impressed. Quite a bit better than the CDM1's.

this is funny.
Reminds me of when I changed my speakers to SBL's. I took my wife and said i would not tell her the cost - it was purely on sound and looks (Gulp). We tried numerous differant types/makes etc and she preferred the SBL's on sound, but another brand on looks.
So, I then got several pairs (diff makes etc)at home for home demo - SBL's won. Phew! Big Grin
Moral - if your other half can't hear the differance for themselves it's a more difficult sell whether you like it or not...

When it comes to looks there are strict instructions that the speakers have to be bookshelf.

My room is not big enough for floorstanding Frown

Very true. Scrap the moving idea and bring on the bookshelf speakers.....
