Next year (ALL) visitors to the US will be required to be photographed and fingerprinted before entry, I wonder if anybody has any comments on the subject ?
After WWII the British Police requested that the wartime ID Cards be scrapped because it demeanered their public relations, and was promptly done. ID cards in UK has always been a contentious issue, and I believe there's an earlier FRED on it here somewhere too, if I remember correctly? Here in Germany everybody has to register with the local cops at their official address, which I hear does help catch those cheating-scrounging bastards on the Rock & Roll, innit.

That sort of beating is inhumane, no doubt. Not sure it's surprising- the first form of law enforcement here was white thugs reeling in escaped black slaves. It's also not surprising that it occured in that part of the country.

That "poor guy" was on PCP. The cops - one of whom was black - could have shot him several times and he would still have been swinging at them. And the "hero" who filmed the whole thing was another cop.
Put yourself in the cops' shoes. How would you have handled this, Graham or Ludwig?
It's easy to shout "racism" here, especially given Cincinnati's appalling recent history. If that proves to be the case, then the cops deserve to be taken to the cleaners. But beware of rushing to judgment.

I didn't mention racism, I've had a few similar experiences myself (on both sides) , and did you say you've heard of Rodney King? or was it
me striking pre-emtively my friend.

Maybe a knee in the back and a willingness to get ones hands dirty, instead of clubbing and hoping for unconsciousness, would have done the trick? How about a stun gun?
Regardless, it doesn't take much to understand that black lives are less valued by law enforcement in the US.

What colo(u)r are Chads in Florida ? Good Policing and local knowledge are common sense partners that must always be maintained to achieve some semblence of neighbourhood (Hood) harmony, or is that only in the movies ?
